Kory Conrad

Education: BPAS, University of Regina

Certification: CSEP-CEP, NSCA-CSCS, AFLCA Resistance Training, NCCP Coaching Level 3 (Distance), NCCP Level 1 (Olympic Lifting)

Background/Experience: I have been personal training since 1998. My experience involves working with soccer, hockey, squash and running clients. As well, I have helped clients with programs designed for weight loss, injury rehabilitation, and various recreational pursuits.

Philosophy/Motto: “Through the application of proven scientific principles and research-based knowledge, my ultimate goal is to help each individual realize their potential.”
Personal Interests: Running, weight training, hockey, baseball and soccer.

Jason Wong

Education: B.Kin in Kinesiology, University of Calgary

Certification: CSEP-CPT, AFLCA

Background/Experience: I’ve been with HSG since December 2010, and previously with the YMCA and World Health. I’ve worked with a variety of clients and gained an appreciation for being a flexible trainer in order to help clients achieve their goals. I grew up playing soccer, but also played football, basketball and track and field. I didn’t start weight training until I was finished High School and now it has become part of my routine. Health and fitness has been a part of my life and I would like to make it the same for everyone that I work with

Jenna Westover

Education: B.Kin. in Exercise and Health Physiology, University of Calgary

Certification: CSEP-CPT

Background/Experience: I have been active my entire life, always participating in sports and other activities, most notably swimming and hockey. From my love of sports, stemmed a love of fitness which was further solidified throughout my time at U of C. Throughout my kinesiology degree, I learned the ins and outs of human anatomy and exercise physiology, and how this relates to physical performance and training. I love the opportunity this industry provides to connect with so many different people and make a positive impact in their lives. It is my hope to start working with many clients from a variety of backgrounds to continue to learn and be able to share my passion for activity and good health with as many people as possible! I want to assist everyone with achieving their fitness goals and develop their own excitement for movement and physical activity.

Personal Interests: Hiking, biking, cooking, hockey and exploring the city!

Shelly Stranaghan

Education: Bachelor of Physical Education, University of Alberta

Certification: CSEP-CEP, FMS, TRX Suspention Training, AFLCA Personal Fitness Trainer

Background/Experience: Shelly loves helping people become the best versions of themselves they can be. She has been a personal trainer since 2000 and enjoys the variety and challenges each client brings. She has her Bachelor of Physical Education as well as an extensive list of fitness certifications. Shelly feels most rewarded when she sees her clients reach their goals and have fun while being active. Maintaining a work-life balance is important to her and she enjoys spending time with her family, getting active outside and riding her horse to unwind.

Andy Godoy

Education: Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction

Certification: CSEP-CPT

Background/Experience: I am originally from Venezuela. I moved to Calgary when I was 14 years old and I’m proud to call it home. I grew up playing all kinds of sports, from soccer and swimming, to martial arts and wakeboarding; I always saw physical activity as an essential part of my life; this, along with my desire to work in the health industry later on, drove me to going into Kinesiology at the University of Calgary for my undergraduate degree.
During my undergraduate degree I gained substantial hands on experience through work, volunteering, and labs. I found that my passion for health, sports, and physical activity could be translated into helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, which is the gold standard for exercise science and personal training. My CPT further expanded my Kinesiology knowledge and allowed me to pursue my dream of helping others achieve their health and fitness goals through personal training.
I believe everyone should be able to conquer their fears and reach their goals. My job is to help individuals push themselves in their quest to become their better self through physical activity. I provide the support and tools for individuals to find the change within themselves, emphasizing functionality and healthy living

Personal Interests: hiking, snowboarding, rockclimbing, weightlifting, sailing, surfing, and travelling.

Beverly Rousselle

Education: B.Sc. in Kinesiology, University of Moncton

Certification: CSEP-CPT

Background/Experience: It is my goal to teach and assist the client in the pursuit of their goals, while instilling the notion of fun, exercise, and healthy living. I believe that if fun and exercise are combined, that they cannot be defeated. One of the recurring daily challenges of many is now becoming the fight for the attainment of true physical fitness, and healthy living. In my experience, I have seen many people struggling with accomplishing these fitness goals that they have long aimed for, often resulting in a negative perception on exercise, fitness and healthy living. I will work with my clients in order to bring the feeling of joy, and fulfillment back to their workout, in order to attain the goals set, while instilling the confidence to carry that positive feeling into all aspects of their lives.

Personal Interests: Handball, scrambling, rockclimbing, snowboarding.


Kira Poon

Education: BSc in Human Kinetics, St. Francis Xavier University (NS)

Certification: CPTN-CPT

Background/Experience: A graduate of St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia with a degree in human kinetics, Kira’s undergraduate experience with classes such as human anatomy and exercise physiology drove her interest towards the fitness industry. Being able to apply her educational knowledge with clients while helping to re-shape their lifestyle has been a truly amazing and rewarding experience for Kira for the past year as a Personal Trainer at World Health.
Kira spent the majority of her childhood and teenage years in a dance studio in Pickering, Ontario, where she trained in various styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary from the age of four years old. She started competing by the time she was six, and went on to receive numerous awards and scholarships, including a dance intensive in Los Angeles, where she was trained by and introduced to many renowned choreographers and dance professionals.
In 2011, she auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance Canada and went on to “finals week” in Toronto. Being a dancer most of her life has definitely influenced her style of training; very particular with detail and form as well as posture and body awareness.

Personal Interests: Dance, snowboarding, hiking, experiencing the beautiful city of Calgary!



Tyler Mah

Education: B.Sc. in Kinesiology Biomechanics, University of Calgary

Certification: CSEP-CPT, AFLCA (Cycling, Choreography & Portable Equipment), 7 years WTF Tae Kwon Do, Karate, corrective exercises, posture analysis, myofascial release and lower back pain relief.

Background/Experience: Tyler has over five years of personal training experience with various companies including the YMCA, World Health Club, Goodlife Fitness and now Health Systems Group. He has a passion for learning and gets caught up researching, studying, practicing and discussing various topics for months at a time. This continuous growth allows Tyler to keep training programs fresh but at the same time true to proven exercise principles. On a personal note, he is born and raised Calgarian, involved in many sports growing up with Volleyball and Tae Kwon Do to name a couple favourites.

Personal Interests: When less active, he plays his acoustic guitar and reads a lot of non-fiction.

Tara Luterbach

Education: BKin. Mind Sciences, University Of Calgary

Certification & Training: CSEP-Exercise Physiologist, TRX certified, Olympic Level 1-Weightlifting, Rowing Coach Technical Level 1, Pre-Postnatal Specialist

Tara has been coined as the go-to trainer by colleagues and friends, for having an uncanny ability to help any client move better and feel stronger. She has had a unique training background where she oversaw over 90 clients in a week with several movement challenges. She has a wide range of training experience from the beginner weightlifter, to individuals with chronic injuries to training & testing police persons to pass their fitness tests. After having her second child, she incurred some health challenges that took her knowledge of health and wellness to even deeper levels. She also recently took a postnatal specialist certification. Tara looks forward to helping more women navigate motherhood and movement with the new tools she has learned.

Tara has worked in the fitness industry for nearly 20 years, fitness and wellness have always been an important part of her life. She believes it is so important to find ways to be consistent with exercise and meet your body where it is at while being challenged to improve. Fitness and health gains can take on many forms and can be very unique for each individual.

Katie Woods

Education: B.A. Kin., with distinction from the University of Winnipeg

Certification: CSEP-CPT, AFLCA Resistance Training, Group Fitness and Cycle

Background/Experience: As a group personal trainer and exercise instructor since 2012, my main goal is to improve my clients’ functional fitness and holistic health. My specialty areas include body transformations, improved functional fitness and quality of life, circuit and strength training, motivating beginners and challenging advanced clients.

Philosophy/Motto: “Move everyday! Be efficient and effective in your workouts to keep progressing and to see the results you want.”

Personal Interests: Playing with my English bulldog, competitive dodgeball, outdoor runs, cooking.
